Carts are all the rage. And with this rosin infused cartridge available from Sugar Ray’s DC, I can see why.
CARTS PROVIDE AN EASY, QUICK, AND POTENT WAY TO INGEST THC
Let’s be real. While here at East Coast Amsterdam we say that all weed is medicinal, you and I both know that THC is what we seek.
Sometimes you just want to get high. And THC, tetrahydrocannabinol, is the thing that gets us high. Note the folks over at Wikipedia, THC is the “principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis and one of at least 113 total cannabinoids identified in the plant.” They go on to note that when smoked,
tetrahydrocannabinol is absorbed into the bloodstream and travels to the brain, attaching itself to the naturally-occurring endocannabinoid receptors located in the cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and basal ganglia. These are the parts of the brain responsible for thinking, memory, pleasure, coordination and movement.
I knew there was a reason I like THC so much!
But why is a cart an easy, quick, and potent way to ingest THC? In short, the cart has just the good stuff from the plant.
“What’s the good stuff?” you ask.
That’s easy. Take a close look at your cannabis bud. See those sparkling things? Get a magnifying glass or a loupe and take a closer look. See the bulbous round heads on the stalks of crystals. That’s the good stuff. All the cannabinoids are in those trichomes.
This cart has just the good stuff.

MISTY MOUNTAIN CARTS ARE PURE QUALITY
The folks over at Misty Mountain Carts claim these carts were born out of a love for the outdoors, and
feature artisan-curated hash rosin infusions to provide exceptional flavor, inside of elite-quality 510 thread cartridges, all crowned with cured wooden tips.
Hold it in your hand, and you can feel the quality. But it’s not just the quality of the cartridge itself. It’s about what’s in the cartridge. It’s about what you’re toking.
And you are toking. Carts heat the liquid so that it becomes vapor. You then inhale the vapor of the liquid.
This is a hash rosin infused cart. This is ice hash rosin and is made, as Jack Dobbyn noted in his How to Get Smart About Hash, by “washing the ripe trichomes off the cannabis plant by the use of cold water and agitation.”
In essence, you’re getting hash in your cart.
But you can’t get a cart to work with just hash. Carts only work with liquid substances, and hash doesn’t have the correct liquidity.
According to Chef Phil Frederick, this cart is 80% distillate and 20% hash rosin. In a conversation with East Coast Amsterdam’s editor, Chef Phil revealed that Misty Mountain Carts is reformulating the hash rosin carts to be 70% distillate and 30% hash rosin, and they are bringing production in-house.
Those changes will “up” what’s already a fantastic cart.
